Position Type: Permanent Full Time Duration: DirectTechnical Solutions Inc. is currently seeking a HVAC Systems Engineer on behalf of our client, a Pittsburgh based engineering consultant.Position Description:Perform site investigation to document the existing condition of mechanical systems within the project area.Perform heating and cooling load calculations based on the project requirements.Review code requirements that are associated with the project and adapt the mechanical system design accordingly.Write project specifications, engineering studies, and other summary reports.Utilize CAD to draw mechanical systems to suit the project requirements.Review of construction submittal documents that are associated with the project.Perform construction site review and write project construction reports ('punch lists').Job RequirementsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Design.Five (5) or more years of relevant experienceProficient with Microsoft Office products.Good verbal and written communication skills.Must be proficient in AutoCAD (2018 version - minimum).Working knowledge of Mechanical Building Code, FGI Guidelines, and various ASHRAE Standards.Able to demonstrate an ability to multitask, being an effective team member, work with minimal supervision, and follow instructions.Technical Solutions Inc. provides a wide range of staffing services throughout Western Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.
