Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Candidates must have 2 years of nursing experience. Candidates must have experience working with tracheostomy patients. Description: Unit Information: Number of Beds: 23 step down, 16 medical surgical. Staffing: Day Shift includes 1 charge nurse, 11 RNs, and 4 Patient Care Technicians. Night Shift includes 1 charge nurse, 10 RNs, and 4 Patient Care Technicians. Patient Ratios: 1:3-4 for step down and 1:4-6 for medical surgical. Type of Equipment: Lifts, chest tubes, cardiac drips, stable vented patients, tracheostomies. Electronic Medical Record: Cerner. Typical Procedures Performed: Trach care. Chest tube management. Wound dressing changes. Best Personality Fit: Flexibility. High level of clinical competence. Floating Areas: Other medical surgical and progressive care units. Dress Code: Scrub color/attire: Navy blue. Unit Guidelines/Policies: Weekends and On-Call: 6 Saturday or Sunday shifts in a 6-week period.
