Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a relevant specialty License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Strong cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills; experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drips; telemetry experience Description: PCU nursing positions available for night shift. Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience in the Progressive Care Unit. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Candidates with only 1 year of experience will need a managerial review to receive offers. Floating to different units within the organization will be required. Every other weekend will be scheduled, including Friday and Saturday nights. Patient diagnoses will include those with active oncology treatment, as well as other medical issues such as COPD, sepsis, and pneumonia. The unit requires adherence to specific protocols for inmate care. Dysrhythmia interpretation and management will be a key responsibility. Experience in isolation precautions and PPE is essential. Candidates should have recent acute care experience within the last 12 months in the specialty. Two professional references are required, including one from a managerial role. Travelers must complete credentialing processes promptly. All candidates must be aware of the importance of timely compliance with required procedures.
