JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title Physician Liaison FLSA Status Exempt Reports To Director of Marketing Employment Type Full-time Location Mesa, AZ, US EEO Class Sales Department Marketing Salary Range $60,000.00 To $85,000.00 Annually Job Summary The Physician Liaison is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with referring physicians, providers, practice managers, referral coordinators, and community partners on behalf of Valley Perinatal Services (VPS) and Advanced Women’s Care (AWC). This field-based role supports referral growth, provider awareness, and community engagement through strategic physician office outreach, relationship development, events, and ongoing communication with referring practices. Duties/Responsibilities Build and maintain strong relationships with referring physicians, providers, office managers, and referral teams. Conduct regular visits to referring and prospective physician offices within an assigned territory. Educate practices on VPS and AWC providers, specialties, locations, services, and referral processes. Identify opportunities to strengthen referral relationships and support organizational growth. Introduce new providers, locations, and service lines to the medical community. Coordinate and attend physician lunches, educational programs, open houses, conferences, and community events. Transport, set up, staff, and break down materials for events and outreach activities. Gather and communicate market intelligence, referral feedback, competitive activity, and potential barriers to referrals. Maintain accurate records of office visits, contacts, follow-up activities, and opportunities. Partner with Marketing, Operations, and clinical teams to support outreach initiatives and referring-provider needs. Represent VPS and AWC professionally in all external interactions Required Skills/Abilities Excellent relationship-building and communication skills. Professional and confident when interacting with physicians and healthcare professionals. Highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently in the field. Strong follow-through and attention to detail. Ability to manage an assigned territory, plan efficient office routes, and prioritize follow-up. Comfortable using CRM, Microsoft Office, email, calendar, and route-planning tools. Ability to occasionally work evenings or weekends for events. Education /Experience Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in physician relations, healthcare business development, medical sales, field marketing, account management, or a related role preferred. Healthcare or physician-practice experience strongly preferred. Women’s health, OB/GYN, or specialty healthcare experience is a plus. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required. Physical Requirements Local travel to referring physician offices, VPS/AWC locations, and events is required. A company vehicle is the preferred method of transportation for physician office routes and business travel whenever available. Occasional use of a personal vehicle may be necessary, with approved business mileage reimbursed according to company policy. This position requires frequent driving, walking, standing, and entering/exiting a vehicle throughout the workday. The Physician Liaison must also be able to transport, set up, and break down event materials, including tables, signage, displays, and supplies, and lift/carry approximately 25-30 pounds.
